About JM Design

JM Design is an award winning, woman-owned, graphic design consultancy based in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We work with clients in many different fields such as transportation, healthcare and education. With more than 20 years of experience, we pair our creative expertise with excellent client relations to create competitive and innovative design strategies that will elevate our clients vision. We take the time to get to know our clients so that we may guide them on the appropriate steps to achieve their goals. Our success is a direct result of our clients' success.

EXPERIENCE

Prior to starting JM Design in 2004, Jennifer worked in Washington, DC for two of the top ten Public Relation firms in the world — Ogilvy Public Relations and Fleishman-Hillard. Her early career touched on designing for monthly  magazines, creating collateral for large scale conferences and events and working pre-press at a printing plant. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

About me

I have a strong work ethic and enjoy being around people. I receive so much positive energy from my clients because we work together as a team. That type of partnership achieves highly successful results.

I have been employed since the age of 12 when I worked at my mother's business in the shipping department. I enjoyed the feeling of having a certain amount of autonomy and confidence that came with holding down a job. I learned from experience that taking pride in my work would go a long way in business. I have always gravitated toward art but really started to see my interest grow during high school while taking art classes, photography and fashion design. I remember the day the librarian (old school) helped me find Drexel University – a school that would not only provide me with a design degree, but an opportunity to work in the design field while earning that degree. During the summer of my junior year, at the age of 19, I was employed with a small business as their sole graphic designer producing annual sales catalogs of over 100 pages, creating advertising campaigns, and designing their many other corporate needs. It was a big job and I am so grateful for the opportunity and trust they showed me.

I am so lucky to be able to have a career that I love. When not working with my awesome clients, I enjoy family time with my husband and two children; going to the many museums that Milwaukee offers; and being outdoors as much as possible.
